As promised...

Here are some pictures of some of my work.

This baby dress was adapted from a pattern. The brown is perhaps not to everyone's taste, but I thought it looked cute.

The cross stitch is from a kit, but the frame is my own design.

Introduction

I thought I should introduce myself and my work. My name is Rebecca (hence the Becca's Crafts) and I'm trying to set up a business, offering sewing (and other craft) services for people in the local area (Castle Bromwich and surrounding areas). I will put images of some of my work up here in time.

My craft history has included to date, teddy bears, miniature quilts, knitted and crochet items. I am currently doing a dressmaking course as I would like to be able to offer dressmaking services. I personally have a great deal of difficulty finding clothes that fit me properly and I know I am not the only one, so I thought this might prove to be a useful service.

My first job so far, which I have just completed, involved curtain lengthening and deep buttoning. I had also had the opportunity to design a means of making sure cushions stay put on chairs. This proved to be trickier than I at first suspected and I have to go back to the drawing board to improve my design if I am ever to do it again.
